elcome to egX Canada, a new marketplace developed in response to the world-wide trend toward the securitization of real estate assets. Our goal is to increase the number of publicly traded real estate issuers and thus create the largest peer group of real estate listings in any marketplace.
In the aftermath of the credit crunch, the commercial real estate industry is faced with a tightening of the credit markets. The egX Canada marketplace will provide a new source of buyers and sellers to promote liquidity and access to capital. Investor demand for stable returns backed by long lived tangible assets is still high. Real estate transactions are still being facilitated. There’s never been a better time to explore alternative financing methods, including the public equity markets.
